| Description | As per discussion, a suggestion to further corporatise the TPS reports with additional information, as expected for these reports. Mention metrics and KPIs that are relevant to the player at the given awareness level, as well as filter out, obfuscate and/or redact information that do NOT require immediate player attention at that point in time, but recognize that the data may be logged for future review. Examples would include executive summaries suitable for major actions such as supply consequences, major action consequences, given on a need to know basis. Some metrics (eg computing expenditure and immediate AI expenditure) are more relevant than others (and this changes as time goes on), and some only become relevant enough to the AI to justify more than a single word/emoji and/or figure summary as new objectives emerge. eg. Supply number thresholds. major decisions made, KPIs that could be hit that could expect to influence the situation now or in the future, although only limited analysis relevant to the player's current situation need to be explained. The APM of the player, or distance moved by an entity and other factors may also fit into this category, for other purposes. After all, this is a corporate created AI, and at the end of the day will focus on what is relevant for said AI, in the way a corporate AI would work, honestly. (This suggestion is particularly oblique, but a reminder for Chris. Leaving breadcrumbs that (won't) matter will help with the setting - those who clue in early will appreciate the theming and will help any initial myopia (and understand why certain things aren't happening yet), and those who don't will probably appreciate it's less of a surprise and more of a 'Oh...' moment. That's what TPS reports are for, and stuff.) | ||||

I have partially handled this, basically as much as I think is warranted, especially in the way that the setting is now framed. The intro is very different, and that sets a very different vibe now. |
