Description | Standing on top of an event and interacting with it costs AP. By event, I mean things like going to an android licensing building and wanting to pay the fine. So you pay the movement costs, yes, but then when you click "Nevermind" on the event you still pay an AP cost. So you can exhaust any units remaining AP by clicking the intractable icon on the building you're currently standing on (say, pay fines) then clicking nevermind, and repeating that until you're at zero. Ideally, the only AP you pay is for moving there? Maybe also for confirming the event (i.e. paying the fine) but not opening the prompt and deciding not to proceed with it. | ||||

Unless I'm mistaken, it's opening the event that costs the AP and mental energy. It's already gone by the time you have opened the window. You also moved to get to the thing, so it was the movement that took the energy and AP. If it's double-charging you for choosing nevermind (losing another AP and mental energy, that would definitely be incorrect. It shouldn't charge you for actually doing an action, either, there. Moving to events would be exploitable as a way to rapidly move across the map by getting free moment without this. |

Yes, that's what it is you're right. Opening the event costs an AP. If you travel to an event and decline it, your unit is now on top of the building with the event. Clicking on that event again will deduct another AP when that window opens (even though there is no travel cost anymore) This is not usually a problem, as picking any option for other events (such as Ambush) will resolve that event and you can't pick it again. But with Licensing Agency and possibly others, you can keep re-triggering the event box and cost yourself AP, even if you have already traveled to that event |

That's a good point -- if you don't have to move to get there, then it should be free. |

Thanks! * If you are moving to the location you are already at, and the action is one of the following, that action no longer costs you any AP or ME: move, minor event, enter city conflict, contemplate. ** There are some other cases, like being at a place where you could now start a wiretap, for example, and that still costs both ME and AP. |
