Description | I decided to go for evil playthrough, and I just decided to be a troublemaker right through the prologue and Chapter 1, taking any and all opportunity to murder NPCs. This resulted in my network spire building getting assaulted fairly early, and I started to spin my wheels a little bit in staying afloat.
But what was really confusing was, when I ended my turn, a sudden LOUD cacophony of sounds went through my earphones. It looks like the enemy turn is all happening simultaneously; every gun is going off, all the red attack score values are floating up at the same time, my units are flying off the board. There were some instances where even the screen jumped and swiveled, which I think should change.
If possible, could we get a skip to end of enemy turn button for people who don't want to wait (perhaps with a summary window of what all happened during enemy's turn)? And have it default to a much more normal pace of attacks, perhaps with some soft highlights or some other way of conveying action. There's actually a lot of opportunity here to present the action, your own style, and bring the scene to the forefront. You don't need animations, but targeted highlights, colors, slowing it down a little bit, accents, or something like that would help make sense and unravel what has happened. For example, if the enemy is getting a backstab bonus on me, there's just no way you're going to see that everything happens simultaneously and is only on the screen for a couple seconds. |
