Summary | 0028007: Ghost AI Unbalanced: Mirages Overload above 10k
Description | I was hacking a superterminal against an Adaptive (Moderate) AI. I noticed that it was a Ghost AI type at the time. As a result, hacking the superterminal results in tens of thousands of mirages coming at me. That results in too many targets. I've also noticed that the AI was sending along Tesla and Grendae guardians. I would think that the Ghost AI should consider having a lot of Stealth Guardians and Dire Stealth Guardians are part of its hacking response to cut down on the number of mirages the AI sends. The Ghost AI used to have access to Apparition frigates back in Beta before the AI lost access to frigates. Right now, the Ghost AI seems too hardcore. Imagine if a player had tens of thousands of mirages...

The issue here is more widespread, in my opinion. The price of a Mirage (that the ai pays) is not any higher than that of a Spaceplane, despite its much higher performance. The result is that if an AI wave (or hack response) rolls "mirages" it ends up buying just as many as it would if had rolled spaceplanes, but performing hugely more effective than normal for that budget spent. |
