Description | If making this the default behavior for every unit is felt to be too extreme a change (though i would be fine with that), as an alternative consider at least doing so if pursuit / attack move is off. The idea being that an order to position x is where they should remain, short anything nearby to attack or do. This would be particularly useful for station keepers or units you put in position for a good defensive reason (like, stationed over turrets). You aren't saying 'hold this position forever' like stop to shoot might (actually that would still roam just stop if something was in range, and still drift out of position without returning when idle) just to return to were you told them to be when idle. | ||||

Note that this wouldn't be considered strange in an RTS, though not all of them work this way, in one like AIW which is suppose to be low micro, this would go a long way towards minimizing micro. |

I'll note that engineers seem to already work this way, but combat units which leave the position to attack something, in particular, never return. |

Darn, for technical complexity reasons? I was hoping since engineers seem to know how to do this, it was something that could just be copy pasted or enabled. |
