Description | It would be nice to have the colours of the factions be a custom_field so it can be edited from the beacon hacks XML, so when adding two identical factions of different allegiances, they have different colours. | ||||

Given that there's an easy workaround via the Edit Factions window, not sure this is worth the effort |

I had the same thought. I'll leave it open in case someone comes up with an easy idea to implement. |

Depending on how the faction is added, if you look at public ConfigurationForFaction AddFaction( SpecialFactionData factionData, bool CauseRegenerationOfMap, ConfigurationForFaction OtherFactionToCopySettingsFrom ) in World_AIW2.cs you'll see theres a function to make the faction chosen have a random colour. |

Beacon factions should now spawn with a random colour that's hopefully not to close to any other faction in the game. |
