Description | Further to the conversation here: https://discord.com/channels/240637654717300736/468094385251418122/943928652872175697 There are a few issues with some FRS ship boosts at the moment. Firstly, there is the issue that all the cruisers I could find incorrectly state they are immune to Fleet Supercharging, which I think is the FRS bonus? They are actually not immune, and benefit from the bonus. (For Hull and Attack, at least). I don't know if this is a display issue with the immunity being erroneously displayed, or if the immunity itself isn't working - I don't have easy access to any of the former lone wolf golems in this game to test this. While looking at this, I then noticed something iffy with the damage bonus from the Ultima Fusion Bombers I was using for the test. Their hull bonus is applied normally, but their attack bonus appears to be applied twice - the bonus listed in the bonuses section of the ship pane is correctly 50%, but the displayed damage values in the pane are 2.25 times higher than the base values - and of course, 2.25 is 1.5 squared. I have checked, and this is not just a display bug, the damage done by boosted ship in game is indeed the 2.25x value. (Tested with a Line of Ultimas boosting a voidpiercer and some eyebots. (Though I had to breifly mod the HP of the AI command station to give me a large enough target to test the voidpiercer damage in a controlled environment)) This can be observed for the eyebots (and with a brief XML tinker, the cruiser) in the attached save FRS Damage test. Planet is Lorica. In the process of testing that, I also noticed a visual bug with the unit swap screen when the Ultima bombers were in a fleet. If you select another fleet, click multiswap, and scroll down to the fleet containing the Ultima bombers, the ordering of the ship lines in that fleet and their strength values changes rapidly. This can also be observed in the attached save FRS Damage test, and I also screencapped it. (Icon Flicker) | ||||

* Fixed a bug where the FRS damage boost and hacking-point-cost individual ship damage boosts would apply twice. This was simply some duplicate leftover code. ** Thanks to Lord of Nothing for reporting! As for the icon flicker, I think that's an entirely different thing, it'd make sense to report that in a different issue assuming it still exists. I think it might be related to the strength rating of a ship line not being cached when it recalculates. |
