Description | The Necromancer captures guard posts which is cool, but it generates this issue where planets have a low amount of strength due to the guard posts and each time an Elderling or AI units cross the planet, it generates a warning. When you have dozens of planets cleared, the map is literally spammed with warnings and the voice also talks all the time about those. It could risk covering a real threat and it become truly annoying after some time. Adjusting the threshold is temporary and a not so nice solution. Any ideas on how to fix it? | ||||

I think that if we only have guard posts or turrets at a planet, that it shouldn't generate warnings for us at all. |

Do you have a save with some examples I could use for testing a fix? |

Here's one. It has warnings flashing on a bunch of planets visually in the middle of the map, and it has some warnings for at least three on the top. I don't know about voice audio, that's turned off. But these are planets with guard posts being attacked, where the players own them but the AI still owns the planet. Stationtest.savemet (135 bytes)

When I load this I see only one Notification, which is for a planet that you own and have significant strength on. This ticket was to clear up spurious "Planet Combat Notifications". What problem are you observing? |

As soon as you start playing it works as expected, but when continuing the game, the Planet Combat Notifications become frequent, like the one in the screenshot I posted above: I have only guard posts in that system, so there is no need to have the notification blinking. |

Here's another example of that happening. Unfortunately reloading fixes it, so in order to reproduce it, you need to play a bit. |

Are you actually referring to the combat circles? The coloured circles around a planet in the galaxy map, I mean. |

Yes those circles, plus they trigger the voice that warns you about attacks in your territory which constatly plays in the background and is annoying, plus you never know if it's a real offensive or just one of the many false attacks. No those planets are not mine, I just have a few guard posts captured and that's it. You can even see the AI's command center. |

This ticket was about the popup Notifications, which is a completely different thing. Please open a new ticket for these other problems. |

This ticket was always about map warning circles since the beginning. If you really need it, I'll make another ticket, but it doesn't seem to be this the case. |

Oh, i was always confused about the problem then. I thought it was about the popup notifications. |

The game is now stricter about when to show combat circles. If the planet isn't owned by the player and you don't have mobile ships, it will only show circles if you have significant, non-cloaked strength. |
