Product Version | Beta 3.742 "Classic Map" For DLC1
Fixed in Version | Beta 3.743 Return Of The Imperial Spire
Summary | 0025763: GOG version might not be updating to latest version.
Description | I'm getting updates from GOG on the right dates but the version numbers have remained at 3.313 on the main menu as well as in logs. The GOG's client also only reports patches up to 3.313. Not sure if this is simply an issue where the numbers aren't being updated or the patches aren't being applied (I suspect it hasn't been since the DLC1 classic map isn't available). Reinstalling the game doesn't change the situation.

If you’re using the GOG Galaxy client, there is a beta option that you can choose that gets you the latest. If you’re using the offline installers, unfortunately it will not be updated until we release on the main branch again. We’re working hard to get back out of beta, but it’s been a super long process much more than anticipated. |

I'm on the beta channel. When I switch to the main channel the version is 3.309 and when I switch back to the beta channel it is 3.313 (according to the in-game version and the log). GOG Galaxy has been downloading updates whenever one is announced for the beta channel but the in-game version numbers stay at 3.313. Another strange thing is GOG Galaxy's "view patch notes" link for the main branch are for 3.309 but the link for the beta branch is always updated to the latest beta version (3.742 at the moment). |

Thank you! * Fixed an error in my build scripts for GOG Galaxy that was leading to the updates on the beta branch being stuck on version 3.313. I had thought that things were working fine since it was still having something to download every time a new version was uploaded, but that was not the case. ** What happened was, I upgraded to a new computer a few months ago, and when I did the paths changed for where my build scripts pointed to. All my steam scripts use relative path names, but the GOG ones are apparently hardcoded and were looking to a wrong drive. I would have expected some sort of error, but there was not one. ** I've now corrected the path names to look to the correct drive, and folks on GOG can now get the latest betas properly for testing again. |
