Summary0025684: [Multiplayer] Player Controllable Factions Cannot Populate Multiple Players in the "Players Controlling"
DescriptionWhen a second player joins the game, attempting to access any faction with a "Players Controlling" element results in a wall of this error:

Error: tried to initialize multiple ui elements with the same id tuple:ButtonBlue|bPlayerAccountToggle|1|-1

Only the host is populated, and the error message just continuously strobes for as long as you're looking at the faction.

Debug Log and picture of the issue attached - We tried resolving this by validating files, and each changing our Profile, but the issue seems to persist.

Ah, thanks for the note. Multiplayer on the beta branch -- even the most recent stable one -- is completely broken for the moment so far as I know.

I've been recoding the game in MAJOR ways since July, and just finished my last round of that today, in order to be able to deal with what multiplayer really needs. That's led to a lot of SP bugs, in the meantime, too.

With the new tools and more solid code for this, I'm hoping to take multiplayer from a "just can't fix all the bugs" state to something that is rock solid in the next month, but we'll see what happens in reality. Overall before it was death by a thousand paper cuts partly because of the architecture needing to evolve, and now that evolution is finished but things are still very messy.

I'm going to be testing MP a lot really soon.

Good to know, thanks! Looking forward to MP being in a playable state, because even with the random bugs in SP, the game's performance feels pretty good right now (Managed to finish most of a superterminal hack without having to run the game at slowest possible speed just to get it to advance in SP)

FYI - This can be closed. I can't mark it as fixed from status New, or I would, but I can confirm this is resolved in 3.904 RC1.
