Summary | 0002521: Trojan Distribution Node exploitation avoidance.
Description | It's obviously preferable to destroy Distribution Nodes when you're broke, both to maximize use of good nodes, and minimize damage from the trojan. I feel that exploiting the fact you can't have negative resources is against the spirit of the nodes. Firstly, If you're in a multiplayer game, it's a trivial workaround to give away all your resources before opening one, so it would make more sense to have the trojan node go after ally stocks, if they don't already. If you're not in a multiplayer game, I think that the trojan node damage should roll over onto something else, either chopping your extractor speed in half until it's paid off, or by scrapping expensive ships at 100% return until it's paid off. I'd vote for the first.

That would be quite complicated for very little effect. I see where you're coming from, but I don't think this needs a shift of that specific sort. |

And really the easiest method is to save scum it, which I must admit I always do. I know, I'm a bad person. |
