| Description | Changing the settings on one page of the CTRLS tab and then switching to another page will lose all the settings you changed on the first page. This is counter-intuitive compared to how most programs using windows and tabs handle this. I keep doing this with a new game, setting up my galaxy settings, then my planet settings, then hitting save, then wondering why all my units aren't spawning in FRD. At the very least, a 'Save Settings?' pop-up when changing tabs would be great, if just remembering settings across tabs is problematic to implement. | ||||

Cause windows works in a way it counters it owns buttons doesnt mean any other program should :) (Windows includes an apply button but than makes it so it always applies, wether you press it or not. This program simply does as it advertises, it only applies after you say so. This may also be helpfull in how to program the control screens, now it doesnt constantly have to monitor every button pressed but simply checks them after the apply button is pressed.) Either way works for me. :) |

I'm not sure that I entirely understood that, but what I'm saying is that you can change things on the galaxy tab, then click the planet tab, then click back to the galaxy tab and all your settings are reverted. It's not remembering changes on multiple tabs within the same window. I know it won't apply until I click apply, or save, but I'd expect it to remember which boxes I check regardless of which tab I go to. |
