| Description | I'm currently playing a game using the build in marauder and civilian industry mods against a level 7 AI and level 5 scourge. A bit more than 4 hours into the game I get a CPA that frees ~40k ships and 3.6k threat. This is at a point where I have roughly 100 in fleet strength and less than 100 AIP without ever crossing the first AIP threshold so far. I think this large CPA is a bug since I can not see how I could have triggered such a gigantic response so far. Save a couple of seconds before CPA and screenshots before and after CPA are attached. | ||||

Just happened to me as well. Civilian industries mod, AIP 43, several AI enemies on diff 9. All went well until at one point the CPA went bonkers with 1700 strength. The next one got over 4000. Managed to capture a save right before and after the massive 4000 CPA. Note: Most of the CPA is tier7 ships, which would explain their massive strength. |

I've just had the same problem, but I'm playing totally vanilla with only the Spire Rises expansion. Difficulty 7, one AI, no minor factions. Saves attached below. |

Glad we could find the bug and provide information to help fix it. Will the fix work on a save has not yet triggered the bug? E.g. I have a save that is 0000007:0000004 seconds before the giant CPA starts. Or is a new campaign needed? |

If the CPA hasn't spawned yet then you'll be fine with the new patch. |

2168.4 strength CPA coming after me. That's a nice joke. Please fix this issue promptly so I don't laugh myself too much whenever a crazy CPA occurs. Unfortunately one of my saves has a CPA underway. Good thing I have a previous save for that campaign, but that's a full hour behind the most recent one. |
