Summary0024105: Destroyables missing in game
DescriptionSo I was doing some more speedruns to test out the new meta with the various updates. The game definitively got harder.

I do have to re-open this issue that was mentioned before. With the setup (see screenshots) where I have no citadel, no lone, half officer and arguably double battlestations and fifty-percent more support fleets: I end up with 2 Major Data Centers and 7 Data Centers when 4 and 10 was expected. This is actually a good roll, as previous games ended up with situations with 0 Major Data Centers and 3 Data Centers, with games running between 40, 46 and 50 planets. This with a single AI and no minor faction. I see planets with no valuable that could have received a Data Center too.

This is... sort of a problem because it widens the difficulty variance by a lot, and is likely to screw many new players who are recommended on discord to try fewer planets as "easier" than 80.

I am not going to make more recommendations since I mentioned the problem before.

How many planets did you have for these tests?

What happens is the galaxy fills up with "Other Stuff", so the game can't find enough places to put Data Centers. If you move the "Seed Data Centers" code to earlier in mapgen then the problem goes away.

It's in the notes: 40, 46 and 50.

I had problems with 70 planets with 2* normal fleets/Lone and so on too. Lots of missing AIP reducers.

I mean, why doesn't it keeps filling up the galaxy? Why is there a cap to how much stuff there can be on one planet, especially for capturables/destroyables? It could fill up, then do another pass to put in more stuff which would make more sense since the number of stuff put in isn't dependant on how large the galaxy is.
