Description | In the attached save a spire archive hack is about to complete, after reseaching Melee III, the ship caps increase as expected from mk V to mk VI for most of my fleet, but they do not increase after researching melee IV to get from mk VI to mk VII. | ||||

Basically I didn't want the power explosion to be so high, as it's multiplicative if the attack and health AND cap goes up at every level. So we had dialed back some of those things in general, and I felt like for mark 7 it was something that would be a subtly bad idea to put so much science in one place (unless it has other side benefits), since it's a better deal to get two ship types to mark 6 than one to mark 7. That was the thought process, anyhow. |
