Summary | 0022593: Eyebot bonus attack damage is not scaling? | ||||
Description | I noticed that eyebots have a bonus attack damage for each 2500 GW of target's energy usage, but I'm not sure it is really scaling correctly and I'm not able to test the damage output of a single eyebot on a target. When you look at the damage multipliers on the Royal Guardian (7500GW power usage), it shows that eyebots have a 1x multiplier, while it should be 3x if I'm not mistaken. i can't say if it is only a GUI error, or a calculation error. | ||||

It's just GUI. The bonus far as I know works fine. |

The fact that it is 1x is also... strange. If it's really 1x, then it would just be number * 1 * 1 * 1 = number, regardless of the energy output. I assume? This is very peculiar. |

It takes the targets energy usage and divides it by whatever value the unit is set to look at. So 7500 / 2500 = 3 base shots worth of damage. If it was 2x, then it'd do 2 base shots worth of damage for every 2,500 energy. |

That wording gets confusing then, but then that does make sense. We'll want to fix the ui when we can. |

For the Strengths/Weaknesses, possibly could exclude this: comparison_type="MultiplesOf" from appearing, as it'd make little sense in most cases to be there. |

I'm bringing this one up because I'm still not sure, in version 2.511, if the damage bonus is applied or not. The GUI still shows 1x against units with greater Energy Usage. Is there a way to log damage done by units among all the available debug options? I'll gladly test it by myself, if I find the way, and report here the results. Same problem with both Eyebots and Stalkers. |

I know the damage bonus is applied, as someone was making modded units using this mechanic, and Seeker Turrets come up a lot, being too good, and also use it. But for the debug, it's in...Tooltips, I think. "Weapon Activity Detail." It'll display the damage done by a units weapon after it hits something. |

Update during v3.307: I finally checked the damage and it seems to scale correctly, only the multiplier shows 1x. Screenshot shows exactly 11x the standard damage against a Dire vampire guardian with 25k energy usage. It's just an UI error in the R-view. |

Here's a few other multipliers displayed incorrectly. The target has 180mm armor, 15k energy usage, 12tX mass. |
