| Description | Matter Converters tend to be constructed when players are desperate and swiftly destroyed when the crisis that caused their need is past. Their location is mostly irrelevant as they provide a global resource rather than local benefits. Swiftly destroying them, however, is easier said than done as there's no centralized information about the location of Matter Converters or how many you have. The only way to find out if you've forgotten where you built them is to go through planets one by one to see if they are built in the list or looking at planetary metal energy flows in the detailed tooltips and calculating whether the number shown includes a converter or not, since the information is not explicitly given despite them being important metal and energy flows. Indeed, due to the lack of clarity it is entirely possible to overlook some and think that you've destroyed them all when you haven't. So I suggest that two tooltips and lists are changed to make it easier to get a strategic overview. METAL TOOLTIP: Whenever the player has at least one matter converter, change the "Metal Outflow: %d" line to "Metal Outflow: %d (of which %d to matter converters)". CURRENT METAL FLOWS LIST: For every metal converter on a planet, add a "Matter Converter on $PLANETNAME spending %d on matter conversion" OR BETTER YET, if a planet has at least one matter converter, add a single line "%d Matter Converters on $PLANETNAME spending %d on matter conversion" At the bottom of the list in the planet summary: If a planet has at least one matter converter, change the "$PLANETNAME earned %d" to "$PLANETNAME earned %d (%d was spent on matter conversion)" ENERGY TOOLTIP: Whenever the player has at least one matter converter, change the "Total: %d" line to "Total: %d (of which %d from matter converters)" CURRENT ENERGY PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION LIST: At the bottom of the list in the planet summary: If a planet has at least one matter converter, change the "$PLANETNAME earned %d" to "$PLANETNAME earned %d (%d was gained from matter conversion)" | ||||
