Description | I've got some engineers in FRD mode. At my home planet I have some damaged parasite ships. The engineers will repair them if I manually move the engineer over to the parasite ship and babysit it, but they won't do so on their own while in FRD mode. Engineers usually will repair on their own in FRD, so this is a new behavior. | ||||

Do they have any engine damage? Engineers repairing ships with engine damage is sort of buggy at the moment. For some strange reason, engineers will consider ships with engine damage a lower priority than ships without engine damage, even if those ships with engine damage have less HP than those without it. Worse, if they have only engine damage and no health lost, then engineers will not auto repair them at all. Also, do you have that "limit FRD range" control on? If so, are those parasites too far? (Sorry for the simple questions, but its good to get those out of the way) If it is the engine thing, I think this is a duplicate bug, but I can't find the other report that mentions this. |

The parasites do have engine damage, yes. But they're also damaged in terms of health. The engineers aren't just prioritizing them lower, they're ignoring them entirely in FRD mode. |

Oh yea, I forgot to mention. Another bug with engineer selection is that if a ship with engine damage is moving, they will be ignored for auto-repair for engineers. So yea, those are 3 problems with auto engine damage repair logic. |

Ah. It's probably the third one then, they're moving back to position. |

I'll go ahead and confirm that I'm seeing issues with FRD engies repairing engine damaged units. |

Separately fixed the engineers not auto assisting moving targets thing, for 4.068 :) |
