DescriptionSo this has been in since...well I think since auto-kiting has been in the settings. Basically ships will orbit around a target once, then they will stop directly to the right of the target (at the same range). This causes the ships to all just dog-pile in on themselves, which while it looks funky; isn't exactly nice. Oh and Im sure AOE enjoys that a lot too...

Attached is a save, my fleet is split in half targeting the sabot guard post and the fortified tesla turret to the left of the wormhole. Just enable auto-kiting in the settings and unpause.

Yep, I intend to get to this one soon. I think the solution is not super-simple, though. Basically, the decollision logic needs to be allowed to run, but it needs to only let them move AWAY from the target... and they need to have a status on them that says they are "locked on" to the enemy target. Basically so that they can move out of their range, and have that be okay, or things get really funky.

I thought about trying to get this in pre-EA, but it's a potential PITA and source of bugs. So I'm going to proceed with caution on it, and get to it hopefully before the end of October.

That's cool :) No rush though, it's not super important rn, and I'm sure it's a PITA to get working properly. I just reported it since I happened to remember it and brought it up on discord.
