Descriptionso I built a test save and threw a trio of Mk. III beam cannons on homeworld, started with a single AI wave. the beam cannons were taking out a single raider each when they fired. To add insult to injury, two of them were shooting the same raider so it was even worse, only killing 2 per 3 cannon volley. Enemy started to flee, spawned 2 more waves to test further.
Wondering why no carry through damage, I tried grabbing a cannon and manually targeting. As Puffin has mentioned elsewhere, it only killed the front rank ship I pointed at.
So I pointed it at the back rank of enemy ships, naturally.
A single Mk. III beam cannon probably shouldn't be killing 3 armor and 2 MLRS in a single shot, seems to be doing full damage to all targets. the only hitting front target bug is preventing this from being OP unless micro'd by a human. (which I will do, I'm not too proud!)

1) Basically it does full damage to all targets in line is one bug
2) other bug is line length limited by distance to target.
3) damage inflicted is correct, used a Mk. II cannon to test that since armor ships can survive the hit.
Thanks for fixing my beam cannons though, I missed them dearly!!!

Beam cannons now have proper targeting, and will maximise their damage output!

(Incidentally, they're meant to far as I know deal full damage to everything. They're not set up at all to do anything but that).
