Summary0020089: A lot of shields.
DescriptionShields, shields everywhere. AI made 121 shield generator, i lost about 100+towers and one hour+ for kill this overpower defence. Shields diying so long anyway, and there is so epic shield defence. May be nerf not only shields, also nerf cap of AI shields.

For a start, I think bombers ammunition might need to penetrate all shields including those from other units protecting their target, and not just the shield of the target unit. this would help take down shield generator clusters.

There's going to be a unit trait called Overdrive, which instantly destroys shields at the cost of being completely unable to hurt anything other than shields. Don't think it's in yet but it's definitely planned out.

Of extra note is that plasma siege starships don't do their fancy shield splashing anymore. That'd be an amazing target.

Been noticing this behaviour in my own games - groups of shields around the AI CS. I've seen them being built by the AI, so I would think, eventually most AI worlds will have this.

* The AI is now limited to at most 3 shield generators per planet (for now, anyhow).
