When I play, most of the time I'm zoomed out far enough that I pretty much just see icons. So I don't ever actually get to see any explosions; if I zoomed in enough I'd see the ships blow up and it would look cool, but it would inhibit my ability to see what was going on at the macro scale. So I really do think this is important, since a lot of players will probably not get to see the actual ship explosions. |
