Summary | 0019202: Inadequate feedback for unbuilt/destroyed turrets
Description | I had a bunch of turrets built by Basic Turretry around my Planetary Controller (so the turrets are pretty clustered together). I was then astonished when an enemy strike force managed to destroy my Controller. After a bit of investigation, it turned out that the turrets hadn't actually ever finished building (I ran out of metal). My complaint is in two parts. First, it's only clear that a turret has finished building if you click on it. So your "heavily defended" planet might actually not have any active turrets at all, if you have been having significant metal problems. The second part is for the "Off" (ie destroyed but rebuildable turrets). If you build using Basic Turretry, your turrets wind up much too close together to be able to see when a given turret is "Off". So if your clumped turrets are fighting off an enemy squad, it's really hard to tell from watching the fight at full zoom whether you are winning or losing. It would be good to have a means of enhancing the Turret to indicate the state more visibly. Some sort of "Build progress bar", which can be replaced by a "Destroyed" symbol perhaps?
