DescriptionSo that raider guardians and the like wont bring their entire group at you at speeds in excess of 70.

I would place it around 40, a bit lower than hybrids.. but 50ish might work as well.

I removed the Warbird Starships from eligibility for event attacks for a similar reason. If really necessary I can also remove the raider guardians though I like to keep the variety up, etc.

Anyway, I don't think the Raider Guardians are nearly as big a problem as the Warbirds because while a Warbird was classified as a Medium Cruiser (point value of 2048), a Raider Guardian MkV is classified as a Heavy Destroyer (point value of 512). Once a battlegroup has at least 3072 points it will pick a Light Cruiser for its command ship. You'll only see ones that small pretty early in the progression, and 1024 points of escorts and 1024 points of pickets shouldn't roflstomp your home command station or anything like that. If anything, the extra kick of speed from the raider makes them more interesting than a splat across your defenses.

If there are particular battlegroups that were traveling at untoward speeds (perhaps from ships other than the raider guardians) and too powerful for that, please post the relevant entries from the event-attack-composition log.

I er actually have no clue about compositions recently.. but I see what your saying - a small group forming with a destroyer header (raider guardian) should sometimes be quick etc.

I seem to recall some lead by them, but I suppose its not too much of an issue because of their max size being relatively small to use a 'destroyer' over a 'cruiser'
