Description | My friend and I loaded a save, and he noticed his income was pretty huge. His Mk III harvesters were producing +144. Mine were producing normal numbers, but if I hovered over the icon on the right it actually said +144 for me too. | ||||

I'm pretty sure this would just be a UI glitch on the screens in question. Are you able to verify? Where exactly is it saying this -- on the plantary summary hover? Also: are you playing with handicaps? A 300% handicap would probably result in numbers similar to this for a mark III harvester. |

Well his economy was pretty big when we loaded the save; he immediately mentioned that he did not think he should be at +3000 metal / crystal, seeing as we had a handful of planets each. Not sure what it said on the planetary hover...the actual in-planet icon hover reported high for him. For me, the in-planet icon reported normal, but the right-side hover icon said high (my economy was normal though). I don't think it was the handicap, since this occurred after we loaded the save, and to my knowledge the handicap cannot be changed mid-game. |

I had one actually, Tss is the one with the super-harvesters, at least on the home planet. |

Attached another save where my partner got super harvestors...somehow hes handicap is changing to +300%, which causes his harvesters to collect at 144 per second. I can confirm that this happened on loading the save...his economy was not like this before. |

Okay -- so your partner actually shows 300% by his name in the stats panel? That would certainly explain it. It sounds like perhaps he's just accidentally set a handicap of 300%. |

Yeah, it shows 300% in the stats panel. But this can't be changed mid-game, can it? He did not start the game with this handicap. 100% sure he did not have this handicap before we loaded this save (and this game is several hours in, across multiple sessions). |

Actually, I think I recall it can be changed via the Manage Players screen. Perhaps it was accidentally done there? If not, then no, there's no way to do it. I don't think this is some wider bug, though, or I'd expect to have heard more about that. Could be wrong, but right now it seems like some sort of accidental change. |

In theory it could be some weirdness in deserialization code, but that seems unlikely. |

Maybe in the meantime we will just hike up the AIP when this happens, because otherwise the game difficulty is just reduced drastically. Our two computers share the core of a feather from the same Phoenix, no doubt. |

0002234 may be the cause of this. The symptoms sound very similar. If your friend played a game with a 300% handicap before loading your multiplayer game I suspect it may cause this. |

Re: 0007346, presuming you started with a handicap of zero of course. |
