DescriptionSee screenshot. I unloaded 400 ships right on top of the command station and the AI did nothing, so I got free shots on the command station and retreated.

I could make one next time I do it, sure. Shouldn't be too hard to reproduce (I had three other screenshots from various games that I didn't upload).

A lot of changes since then pretty much mean this is fixed. If you see it again, a save would be great, but it should be fixed now.

Are they supposed to wake up if a human ship gets near? Or is it only if they, what they are guarding, or a ship near them get fired upon?

No, they don't wake on proximity. They wake when one of the awake ships in their clusters fires on a human ship, or when a human ship fires on them.
