| Description | Not much more to say really. I'm getting a CTD every couple of hours, which I assume is another manifestation of the RAM leaking. After the GUI quits, I can still see the process is "ps": # ps axuw 1488 S 0:00 /opt/Steam/SteamApps/common/Stars Beyond Reach/StarsBeyondReachLinux.x86_64 Not sure what else I can provide, but it's reproducible if I play long enough... | ||||

Hmm, sorry to hear this. I don't think there's a persistent RAM leak at this point, it's mainly a matter of RAM turnover. How much RAM do you have? Also, there should be some error logs in the RuntimeData subfolder of the game, and it may have created a crash dump subfolder for the game -- if so, I just need the error.log file from that. After a crash, before you start the game again, there is also a log called output.log that is in your StarsBeyondReachLinux_Data subfolder. If you could upload that before restarting the game, that would be appreciated, as it will also have some details. Thanks! |

Just to update, I've not seen this again yet, but I've not had many extended play sessions either. Hopefully it's gone, but I'll know for sure once the diplomacy lands and I spend a big chunk of time playing with that ;) |

Okay, nice -- well, hopefully we've already solved it with all those many many (MANY) changes to how RAM usage were being handled, but we shall see after diplomacy hits. :) |
