To clarify: No, that's not from a CPA or anything. Just standard buildup, both from border aggression and normal waves (there's no warpgates next to my planets) |

Chris recently added more sophisticated logic for the AI to wait until it has a concentration of strength likely to succeed (the lower the difficulty, the less it feels the need to build up). I'll leave this one for him, unless he wants to bat it back my way to do something in particular. |

Considering that force is more than triple my combined forces, I'd say it's way overdue to send that mass. |

I noticed this too. If I send a few trash ships (just enough fighters to last a few seconds) they will start moving. |

I'm pretty sure this is working as intended. The size of your relative forces in numbers are irrelevant -- the AI goes based on the firepower rating of your ships, versus the ships it's prepared to send through the wormhole (not its entire planet). Most likely it's trying to build up to twice your firepower (to really crush you), or to bait you into attacking it first on its turf. All is well. :) And yes, this is a new behavior of the AI. |
