Description | In my current game I've been getting huge swarms of raiders, and thought it might be interesting to see an AI type based on the idea of raiding. Have it favor fast moving ships, particularly those that can ignore forcefields and/or tractors, and give it a preference for hitting energy reactors and other lightly defended items. Finally, make it quick to withdraw once it sees it's objectives met or takes modest casualties, but give it a preference to go deeper into player territory instead of back into AI space. | ||||

Well, there's a "Vicious Raider" AI type already. I suppose your suggestion could be a Hard version of that. :p |

Yeah, pretty much. It gets very difficult to defend your worlds when AI ships are scrambling past your defenses trying to kill every energy source available and don't have to worry about tractors or forcefields. |

Done :) It doesn't do _only_ raid-type stuff, but it has a strong enough bent in that direction that you're probably going to have a fairly hard time keeping your energy reactors alive ;D |
