Summary | 0001396: Defender mode: Gap between last wave and victory
Description | I just played 60-minute Defender at difficulty 5 (Easy). Just as an experiment, I cheesed the AI by occupying all planets except for one, and put turrets on that single wormhole. As far as waves go, I got 2000 ships at the 22 minute mark, then 4000 at the 42 minute mark. I killed each wave with cap turrets in < 30 seconds apiece. So there ended up being an announced wave for the 62 minute mark, but I won before it could arrive. This also meant there was an 18 minute gap before victory where nothing happened. Perhaps the players should automatically win if the next wave would occur after victory AND no enemy ships from the most recent wave are still alive?
