Description | Currently, the only way to effectively fight raid starships if you're on simple ships is bomber or siege starships. Given that, after you've spread out, these are spread very thin and can't respond very quickly, it's not really a good thing. The two things with serious enough armor piercing to get through siege starships (anti-armor and electric shuttle) both can't fire at them (anti-armor fires missiles and electric shuttles do AoE damage). This, I feel, is an extremely unbalanced situation; the AI can (and generally does) have siege and/or bomber starships on all of its planets, and thus can defend far easier against the players raid starships, while the players have a much harder time. A change to the anti-armor to something less resisted (possibly shells; the only things immune to shells on simple ships are the bulletproof fighters, which have other counters) would go a long way to resolve this issue. |
