Description | Version 3.701 After tabbing out and back in again, most controls had stopped working. Mouse-overs still displayed tooltips, P paused and unpaused the game and esc opened the menu but I was unable to select units or click buttons. After saving the game everything worked again. | ||||

This is due to Unity "locking" the ALT key in place during an Alt-tab. Other symptoms of this is that all targeting lines are now permanently visible. Simply pressing "Alt" again will make this go away. Funnily enough, that doesn't seem to be bugreported yet. Anyhow, that's the reason for it, and hopefully there will be a fix for it soon-ish. |

Yes, this is a known issue in unity, and has been since 2.61 of unity and I'm sure always before. Tapping alt will fix it, but I'm pretty sure there's not much we can do on it directly. I marked this as acknowledged, though, because the fact that clicking fails might give us some interesting insight on this. Note to self: see if the ongui events are still firing, they may be. |

Strangely enough, upon reloading one of my test games, the game exhibited the alt-locked behaviour despite that I had never pressed the alt button nor had alt-tabbed out of the program (in fact, I had just recently loaded it). |

I take it there's no way to make AI War release all keys when it loses focus? If not, somebody should get in touch with Unity and have them fix it. It's a pretty goofy bug to have lying around for so long. |

Nope -- we can't tell when the application does or does not have focus, unfortunately. I'm pretty sure Unity is well aware of it, but why they've not fixed it I don't know. |

Yea, we can't tell in code whether we have focus, have just lost focus, or have just gained focus. |
