Description | The ability to research different "hull types" for a ship type. 250 knowledge cost, and it takes a single armor type of one of your unlocked ships (you choose which ship type) and its armor type randomly changes to another armor type. Good if you start with a ship unlocked but the AI heavily fields the counter to it (ai is a feeding parasite, and your ship unlock is very weak versus them) | ||||

If I recall correctly, tech unlocks can't alter existing ships, only unlock new stuff. I also highly doubt the hull types would ever be alterable in game, because that'd defeat the purpose of there being any anyways. Weaknesses and strengths exist for a reason. If something is weak against something, it's been designed to be so on purpose, and you should look for alternative strategies if you have trouble using that specific ship/hull type. |
