Description | I just picked up new update, and this new feature got my attention: "If you die more than three times per level-up, the game will get progressively nastier to you." It's good for hardcore players. But what about someone who is not so hardcore? If I am dying because I am too bad in game, and not purposely, then death penalty will kill game altogether for them. It was hard in first time, then you die, and game become harder... and even harder... and impossible ultimately. Is it your purpose? I think, you must have some remedy. Like, say, blatant reminder "you are dying too much, maybe you need to lower the difficulty". If you are having it already, I am sorry. :) | ||||

Well, if you are on the lower combat difficulties, it really won't matter as much, as each successive step on in monster difficulty is much smaller on the lower combat difficulties. When the combat difficulty is high, then, yes, it can get away from you pretty quickly, but, if you are playing on that difficulty, the idea is that you are good to begin with. |

It just seems that if I had a bad day, and wasn't playing my best, and die a few times, then when I go to play it later, it might end up crushing me. No fun. It seems like it's a negative feedback loop that can spiral out of control. I think losing your upgrade stones was less harsh of a penalty in avww1, because it couldn't make your world unwinnable, just make you seek out more of them. |

As I said, that shouldn't really be a big concern. Unless you are playing on a really high difficulty, or perhaps if it's late in the game. But, in both of these cases, the game is supposed to be hard. |
