Summary | 0028491: Would like a way to "sentry" androids until needed
Description | I think having 'Gather' be the default action taken is a great change, however, with the removal of the Gather stance I now *must* tell my androids to do something manually every turn. While minor, this often interrupts my game flow when I just want to ignore them for a while. Suggested alternative: give me a way to sentry units so they'll take no action *and* not be in the cycle until I manually re-activate them.

Someone mentioned that it would be nice if they wake up when they are targeted or spot actively hostile units. That... is probably a good idea too. |

The zero key is what you use to skip giving units orders. If you don't want to give orders, then just do that. The zero key will probably be used more than the spacebar, by most people, to end a lot of turns. You can also stick them in a transport if you don't even want to hear from them. The old mechanics of having them be sleepy and not selected was a trap that bites players when enemies show up. This was discussed in detail at the time, as it basically creates situations where players get absolutely wrecked by incoming enemies. |
