Description | AI Spire dreadnaughts have at least one problem with their XML: Firstly, they are copied from the player modular variant rather than the base variant. I believe this is what causes them to have a massively overpowered multishot 20 coilbeam since it inherits the multishot from the player version's laser pulse. You can see this by looking at the encylopedia entry. (I saw it there a while back but didn't know if it happened in game or not until a discussion on discord earlier today: https://discord.com/channels/240637654717300736/242012213580136448/957284258651725926 ) Also, in it's own XML, it's weapons are defined as two coilbeams, rather than an coilbeam and a laser pulse, which is what it used to have, but I don't know if this is a copy paste error or an intentional design change. The AI Spire frigate, destroyer, cruiser and battleship all also copy from the modular player versions rather than the base version, causing various issues with the encyclopaedia entries, but I don't think any of it carries through into the gameplay. The Railgun variants are unaffected, since those do not use copy from. | ||||
