Summary0025011: Hunter fleet is not aggressive enough when it has 1k strength or more
DescriptionAfter my recent 10 win, badger requested some saves where it looks like the Hunter is not efficiently attacking vulnerable worlds with overpowering strength. Here are some saves where I think the hunter is not being aggressive enough or not targetting the right command station with its forces.
All these saves are from after I start raising the AIP past 100, as before 100 the hunter fleet behaves more conventionally and does not necessarily have the strength to outgun my command stations due to being easier to contain and keep at low strength.

In RiotHack.sav, the hunter has over 1k strength, but does not consider attacking Booch or Levchin. Booch is a 267 strength military command station guarding nothing and Levchin is a 390 strength military command station guarding a Zenith Power Generator.

In Fronts.sav, the hunter has over 1.5k strength, but does not consider attacking Booch or Levchin. Booch is a 218 strength logistic command station guarding nothing and Levchin is a 393 strength military command station guarding a Zenith Power Generator. Destroying either Levchin or Booch would cause a power brownout as I do not have enough energy to sustain myself at the moment (though I could easily build some matter generators to make up the difference for Booch).

In IgnoringTransport.sav, the hunter has over 3k strength, but does not considering attacking Booch or Levchin. Booch is a 333 strength military command station guarding nothing and Levchin is a 563 strength military command station guarding a Zenith Power Generator.
If I let my fleet die on the AI homeworld, the Hunter fleet attacks Markham, a 744 strength Military Command Station and destroys the MDC.
If I bring my fleet back from the AI homeworld to Perlman, the Hunter fleet repositions and does not attack Markham, continuing to shuffle around.

Most of the hunter strength is required to go against the MDC, so it's just trying to do that.

Unfortunately the hunter is doing its best! I don't see any obvious improvements to make here, sadly.
