| Description | Picture one (WaveSquadCount): Lists an incoming attack with a number of Space Planes and Infiltrators. Following the rest of the game, this could be taken as ship count, as everything else (that I'm aware of) uses ship count. Picture two (WaveShipCount): Shows what actually arrives, a very different number. This is showing the actual ship count. This difference may be a confusing surprise for a player - disregarding a wave as inconsequential, only to be rudely surprised, with a possibly kicked down door.
