Summary | 0009973: IsText skips lines of text during two-player mode.
Description | When playing single-player in level 095 E, there is a conversation between the kids as they arrive at the prison complex. During two-player, however, several of the lines in the TextRefuge script do not appear. None of Pierce's text is shown; this leads me to believe that it's skipping every other message. I know you said that two-players is considered broken, but I didn't think it would have an impact on an IsText script...

I tried testing the game's opening text in two-player mode and found exactly the same problem. Every other message, denoted of course by *, is skipped. |
|
Do you have the confirm button for player 1 and 2 both bound to the same button? That would do it. |
|
Aw, man! That was exactly it! How embarrassing; I'm glad you realized the problem so quickly! I continue to have trouble mapping the 2nd controller -- the mapping responds to it as if it's still the 1st controller. I had unmapped some of the buttons to allow gameplay, but not all of them. I'll stick to the keyboard for P2 from now on. :) |
