Summary | 0009656: Ravenous Shadow scenario a bit ridiculous with 8 Champions
Description | Did a solo 'dry' run (Both AI Difficulty to 1) with all extra champions to test out the Ancient Shadows scenarios. I hit a roadblock with this one in particular though; it spawned 4 Ravenous Shadows. They virtually annihilated the minor faction Neinzul Enclave ships before I could even get close enough to engage, and despite my [s]save scumming[/s] best efforts I was unable to kill even one of them before they destroyed all the IMT bases! Anyone else having trouble with this scenario?

Neinzul hulls aren't the best choice in any of the scenarios. And I'll pass along what I was told about this scenario. It's a DPS race. Bring out your heavy hitters for this fight. The Neinzul hulls are all about utility. They shine against the AI. It isn't a bug that the Neinzul hulls are weak in this fight. |

I was referring to the minor faction Neinzul Enclave ships that run across the nebula to the wormhole. Sorry, I should have made that more clear! |

Ah yeah. They are supposed to run away. Originally your reward was tied to how many got away. With 8 champs it was pretty punishing (4 RS). Now you want to save as many as you can, but its overall. Basically focus each RS down as fast as you can. Surviving Enclaves, how many bases, and the hp remaining on your bases are what's important here. |

This scenario is definitely the hardest out of all of them with 7-8 champions. My ships are always set up to take them down (Zenith ships with missile launchers/lasers), and even with good shield ability micromanagement I still tend to lose 2 of the smaller IMT bases. Unfortunately there's not much you can do except let the Neinzul enclaves die. Just fly your champions out to one of the ravenous shadows and try to take it out fast as possible. Periodically drop a shield on your champions to absorb the stray bullets that they fire at you instead of the enclaves. After the enclaves stop coming start flying your champions back to the IMT bases, since the ravenous shadows still start chasing the last few enclave ships to the exit (if any managed to slip by). Be prepared to pause a lot and rotate your champions shields to maximize your shadow charge regen. Once again, just keep your dps focused on one target and you'll eventually come out on top. It's a pretty rough fight though. |
