Description | The fusion bomber builds a pile of fusion bombs in the same way the Hive Golem does. It can hold up to 5 of the bombs and takes a few minutes to restore its payload after dropping them. When the bombs are dropped their timers start to count down, after that they explode in a fairly large and powerful explosion (AOE) that can cause friendly fire so you should retreat the fusion bombers ASAP and hope that they don't get caught by gravity while escaping. The bombs are extra-effective against Ultra Heavy and Structural so fusion bombers can act as sappers against heavy fortifications. Mobile AI ships should likely flee from the bombs as well. The blast damages but does not penetrate forcefields. They can act as area denial but likely won't be able to hit mobile ships that haven't been locked in place somehow. To add some variety higher marks use more focused blasts, in exchange for higher damage their blast radius is decreased. | ||||
