Description | Some sort of threat recycling center: If the AI just can't get any real use out of the threat it currently has available (e.g. has camped at a wormhole far too long) it will send those threat ships to the nearest recycling center. These centers are basically equivalent to the logic behind carriers with lots of ships already on the planet: They turn the accumulated ship value into a smaller number of big units. A recycler will accumulate points until a threshold is reached or it comes under attack, then it'll produce the combined attack force. Ships that enter the recycler add more points than they cost (something like +20%) so using the recycler makes the threat stronger. Unlike carriers or barracks the recyclers are reusable, they just empty out and wait for new food. If the AI is repeatedly unable to do anything with its threat forces their power will grow and grow with each recycling step. This will also have the advantage of removing those stray threat ships that you're never going to notice but that keep the number on your HUD from turning green again. | ||||
