Summary | 0009418: Mission maps getting saved to the region map
Description | Repro (consider doing this in a brand-new world you don't care about, as its effects seem permanent): 1) Begin a mission: go through the mission setup room, and into the actual mission itself. 2) Quit (either to desktop or the main menu), then load the world again. You should still be in the mission area, which is fine. 3) Win the mission, then exit the mission area as you normally would after a successful mission. Either of these will happen: a) If the mission was in a building or cave, then the region map for that chunk will now have a new building/cave on it. Clicking on them will reveal that they are the maps for the mission that you just completed. b) If the mission had its own region map (like in most/all surface-region maps, such as Defend Supply Depot from Meteor Storm), the chunk's region map will be REPLACED by the mission's region map (see screenshot). The chunk's normal region map now simply cannot be reached, making the only warp gates you can warp to be those in the current Dungeon Map (so, no more warping from the Surface into a Cave or Building - nor vice versa). For both a and b, neither exiting & re-entering the chunk, nor saving & reloading, will fix this. Expected behavior: After winning the mission, the region map will go back to normal, and the game will not record/replace the mission's map in the region map. Note: When I saved/reloaded, then abandoned the mission, the mission map was not saved.
