| Description | When on the world map, sometimes area previews become tiny. To reproduce, load up the world file I've attached, and do either of the following tests: Test 1: 1) Upon loading, you should be standing on the Stormy L7 Lieutenant's tower. The 'Thawing plains' preview here should be normal size. 2) Step onto any of the following regions, by any route you like: 2a) the tile touching the northwest corner of this one - the 'Visited' snowy region with the Stealth Assassination mission; 2b) the tile just south of the settlement, with the Freefall mission; or 2c) The region two east of the Settlement, with the 'Boss Tower' mission. 3) Now, without stepping onto any region with a mission, step onto any of the following regions: any Evil Outpost, the Covered Farm, the Settlement, or any Ice Pirate (except the Ice Pirate with the JtP mission). They should all now have tiny previews. 4) Do any of the following: Hit escape twice. Step onto the Ice Pirate with the JtP mission. Enter and exit any region. Quit to the main menu, and reload. 5) Now, revisit the regions mentioned in Step 3: they all have regular-sized previews again. Test 2: i) Step on any/all of the tiles with missions that are South or West of the Settlement, except the one with the Freefall mission. If their tiles are already small, press escape twice to make them big. ii) Step onto the Ice Pirate with the JtP mission (Southeast of the settlement, the same one mentioned in Test 1, Step 4). iii) Without Stepping on any of the tiles mentioned in Test 1, Step 2 (the Freefall mission, Assassination mission, or Boss Tower mission), now step on the tiles mentioned in Step i. They should all have small previews. iv) Now, Step on any of the Test 1, Step 2 tiles. Revisit The Test 2, Step i tiles (without stepping on the Ice Pirate JtP tile): they should all have normal-sized previews again. --- Complicated-yet-reproducible steps aside: as far as I can tell, this is just a minor graphical issue, with no other repercussions happening. Thus, it probably isn't the highest priority of bugs. That said, isn't it interesting? | ||||

I have been noticing this issue as well, although I have not documented my actions or specific regions displaying the behavior. I figured there was some sort of reason for it that I just didn't understand, but now it definitely seems like a bug. Luckily (hopefully, anyway) it's just a visual glitch and not anything that inhibits gameplay. |
