| Description | (mainly formally filing a bug report for this) Basically, the name tells you next to zip about what it actually does. It should be renamed to something more descriptive. What exactly is tricky. Offhand, my best guess would be "Cannot Be Targeted Beyond xx Range" though that's a bit bulky. | ||||

I'm gonna be the sole dude who says he was able to figure it out after a few seconds of thought. Not that it couldn't be improved upon. Radar, still being used as a primary targeting technology in the 225th century? Alternative titles: "Max. targeting range" "Sensor disruption range" "Max. Range to Engage" "Disrupts sensors at:" "Range to target" "Max Rng. to target" "Engagement range" "Disruption field" "Interference Range" "Countermeasure range" "Countermeasures to:" Or some derivation thereof. I rather like Max Range to engage, that's closer than anything else. |

"Disruption Field Radius" It *is* hard to describe this in fewer than three terms, which is probably why they went with "Radar Dampening." I feel like maybe I heard a similar term on Star Trek, like "inertial dampeners," devices that keep the crew from being smashed into a pink paste against a wall when ships travel at relativistic speeds. |

I'd offer "Rage Inducing Range" in honor of Minotaar if that wasn't 10x worse ;p |

Interestingly, I actually knew immediately what Radar Dampening meant the first time I saw it. |
