Description | I just got a crash with the most recent version. I haven't had problems playing the same game with 5.046 and before, and I'm not sure what triggered the crash. I had loaded my savegame (included with the report), gathered my forces and was launching an assault on the next planet I had my eye on when the crash came. From the last message I could get from the output log (see summary), it looks like a memory problem, although the log also lists a bunch of "Skipped rendering frame because GfxDevice is in invalid state (device lost)" errors before the crash. I included the entire crash folder along with the savegame and ArcenDebugLog.txt; UnhandledExceptions.txt did not include anything from this session. | ||||

Ok, I've loaded the save and took the ships on Valusia to attack Altair. No crash or slowdown or whatever. Is there a set of actions starting with "load that save" that you can make crash reliably? |

I didn't manage to reproduce it so far, but from the forum, it looks like you have a lead already. :) |

For 5.048 (which is out now) : * Removed the "periodically clear the sprite pool" optimization from the last version as it was causing something very like a memory leak. Thanks :) |
