Description | Right now, the process for performing the overlord dispatch missions is pretty much the same every time: kill all the lieutenants, build up one NPC as high as you can afford to get him/her, then press the overlord dispatch mission button until the level is at minimum (or the NPC dies). There's a bit of fun in picking an NPC based on what items you got and so forth, but it's repetitive and not particularly deep. Additionally, if you get the bad luck of the survivor dying too early, it can be quite frustrating. If the dispatch difficulty started easier but increased after some successes (let's say the overlord patches up the holes in its security...) then it might open up some more possibilities: -Players might actually be able to complete one or two prior to killing all the lieutenants, spreading out the work a little bit. -It becomes possible to use a medium skill/mood survivor to do some of the initial work, making it slightly more useful to have multiple. -If the player isn't able to get anyone all the way to the top skill/mood needed to remove all the levels, they're more likely to have a feasible choice to take down a few levels and then "go for it" and try to win without finishing the job. Currently unless you get a bad roll and the survivor dies halfway through there's no reason to consider such a thing - either you have enough to likely remove all the levels or you don't. Another option for reducing the desire to just spam gifts on one NPC to do the job is to have some form of support between survivors that increases your odds for having more of them (perhaps only among the same profession? Since that currently is even less useful than having more NPCs in a general sense) | ||||
