Summary | 0008968: AVWW - 'This game has a fatal error' message upon loading game.
Description | I was playing AVWW when my power went out. I loaded AVWW back up after the power came back up and tried to load my saved game. As I try to load the game, a message box comes up and tell me that the game has a fatal error and that I can keep playing but more errors will pop up. It also talked about a lock.dat file and that my game was in use. I deleted the file but I am still not able to load the game. I had been backing up my game as I load it. Is there a way to restore? *Edit* I attached a copy of my world folder.

Unfortunately, you will need to restore your back-up, as it sounds like the power-outage corrupted your world. If you go into your game directory, you can find your backed-up world in Runtimedata/Worldbackups. If you take the stuff in the most recent folder, and overwrite it to your current world folder. You should be good to go from the last time you backed up. |
