Summary | 0008936: Add "clock" to main UI
Description | Since night/day have become more important, and spells with that type of restriction tend to be strong and useful, keeping an eye on just what time of day it is in the world is important, but this is only really possible to do in surface chunks. In buildings/caves and most mission areas, the only time you find out that it's the wrong time of day is when your spell suddenly stops working. With all the tech and magic that the characters have, it makes sense that they'd have some way to tell time, so it'd fit there as well. Some sort of UI element that shows how far into the day/night you are would be really helpful.

I'd like to suggest that any such UI element be completely optional--and preferably not something buried under game settings but as a button you can toggle from the Escape menu perhaps. This is so that those of us that don't utilize any spells that are time-of-day dependent (or otherwise don't need to know what time it is) don't /have/ to have situationally-useful UI elements that we don't need. ^_^ That said, I think this is a fantastic idea. :D |
