Summary0000871: Knowledge costs/ raiding difficulty
DescriptionAfter recent changes it seems that we need more knowledge just to keep up with AI and defend our territory from things like hybrids. Since blobbing is discouraged higher mark ships are more needed to have fighting chance against IV and V worlds. Can you please reconsider difficulty of knowledge raiding or knowledge cots?

I have been looking at this a lot lately -- hence all the extra free stuff you get right at the start in the form of new turrets and starships. That's an ENORMOUS gain for the human players, and way less knowledge required to field an effective fleet. I've been playtesting quite a bit the last few days, and the balance of the knowledge feels spot on to me.

That said, the ability of the player to attack mark IV (and especially mark V) worlds early in the game has definitely been degraded. This was intentional, though.

Again, I would be inclined to concur that the knowledge levels seem pretty good right now. I never have quite as much as I would like, which is where I think the balance most naturally sits.
